And a very good weekend to you all!! For those of you who have the energy after the Black Friday shopping, here is a tutorial for the Gift Bag Punch Board. Enjoy the video and enjoy your wonderful weekend!!
Who knew, that I could have made yet another Lovely As A Tree card. The cardstock is Crumbcake, as you probably can figure it out and the greeting is from the Happy Scenes set. The trees were stamped in Always Artichoke. Enjoy!!!
It's curvy and it's red and you can slip some goodies inside of it... It's a Curvy Keepsakes Santa Box! I made 20 of them for my girls and they just looked so darn cute! I slipped in some gift tags inside but a piece of chocolate would be very much appropriate.
If you have never worked with Curvy Keepsakes, here is a little video on how to put them together. Although I am making a pumpkin in the video, you will get a general idea of what to do. One thing that you need to remember is to use the bone folder to add some curvature to the paper. Enjoy!
As I'm writing this post, I realize that the color of the ribbon I'm using came out so different from the Blushing Bride paper. I mean, totally different. You cannot see this difference in real life card. Interesting....
It seems that the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack makes it easier to create cards. Apparently when you take a snowflake vellum sheet and put it against Pool Party cardstock you get a really neat effect. I love the silver snowflakes that are punched out from silver paper and yes, there is a metal snowflake from the Winter Wonderland Embellishments as well.
Did I mention that it's all about the snowflakes?!?!
This card may not seem like much but I really love it. The gold, the stars, the ribbon - it's all just so festive and fun. I think that the most complicated thing is to figure out how to work the confetti punch and that's not very hard.
If you forgot how to cut the banner, here is how it's done without the banner die cuts.
Brrrrr, don't you get goose bumps just looking at that card?? I thought that Winter Storm was a perfect name for it. You have the snow falling on the tree, at the bottom you have mounts of snow so you know that it's been snowing for a while.... This card just screams winter and I love it. Yes, I love when you can feel the mood thru the card.
Today I am suing Serene Silhouettes stamp set which you have seen on my blog many times before. I have seen this card on Pintrest and fell in love with it.
I used Smoky Slate for the cardstock and sponging and Real Red for the birds and the greeting. There are several ways to make the tree and the birds in two colors:
1. You could use black marker for the tree and red marker for the birds.
2. Or, if you are lazy like me, you can ink the stamp in black, use a q-tip to remove the black ink from the birds and use red marker on them.
There are couple of different ways to create the snow.
1. You can use the finest stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and white ink.
2. Or, you can use Aqua Painter dipped in white ink, which what I personally used here.
And you probably have figured out that I used a torn piece of paper for masking and creating the snow mounts at the bottom of the paper. Oh and yes, a 2 inch circle for the moon or is it the sun? Well, it doesn't matter!
If I'm confusing you, he is a video to clarify things. Enjoy!
I LOVE home made crafts. Love, love, love them! To create these trees I used Merry Moments DSP paper which I cut into strips, curled them with the bone folder and attached with a pin to a foam cone. That's it in a nut shell. To make it I followed the you tube video which you can find HERE. Just so that you know, you do want to use designer paper for this project or any other thinner paper. Regular cardstock is not going to work so well.
This weekend's video will introduce you to the two wonderful sets from the Holiday Mimi:
Happy Scenes Bundle and Festive Fireplace Bundle. I love that cards over time have become 3 dimensional and you have more and more of the stamp-to -die cut coordinating sets. It makes such great difference in how the card comes out. Enjoy the video!
Today's project takes you to the Holiday Mini for the Winter Wonderland DSP and then hops over to the main catalog for the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. Winter Wonderland DSP is all about White, Gold and Black. Classy combo if you ask me.
This card is all about designer series paper. The paper, more than anything else, totally makes this card.
Hello there Stampers!! Continuing my journey with Vintage Leaves, I decided to play with few more colors. I keep forgetting about Rose Red so this was a perfect opportunity to take it out and some life to the card with it. No Fall card here but it could easily be turned it into one.
Here is the supply list:
Paper: Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, White
Ink: Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, Rose Red
Oh my, when I saw the coffee gift card at splitcoaststampers, once again I realized that I was surrounded by brilliant crafters from whom I will be borrowing idea for my next creation.
Coffee gift cards are popular year round. After all who would not use a cup of this mouth licking goodness . BUT during the Holidays.... well, the coffee gift card business is just getting really intense. You get the coffee cards for people that you don't know that well, for your gardener and the mailman and the
daycare lady and even the people that are close to your heart.
When you open the card, the gift card slips out in a "Surprise" fashion. Here you can see how it done.
