Sunset birthday

This stamp is a part of the Serene Silhouettes stamp set., which I so love. I stamped the image in black and then did a LOT of sponging in Dusty Durango and Daffodil Delight.

Butterfly Basics

The Butterfly Basics stamp set along with the coordinating Butterfly Thinlits  totally rocks! I stamped the fern three times without re-inking between each time. The colors used are Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.

Lotus Blossom Birthday

I must say that creativity starts flowing the moment you pick up Lotus Blossom stamp set!  It's a great feeling. I used Calypso Coral and Pool Party today and stamped the image on the inside of the card. I then punched out a 2 inch circle so that you can take a peek inside. Yay! Did I mention that this stamp set is completely FREE with a $50 purchase thru the end of March? Well, it is and now you know it! Enjoy!

If you are having a problem stamping the flower you can go HERE to see instructions from my older post. Enjoy!

Simple flowers

Oh, those markers.... Sometimes we forget about them completely unless we have an image to color. Here I used markers to stamp in order to achieve a multi color image. Here is how you do it:

Color the flower with the red marker.

Color the stem with the green marker and the center of the flower with the brown one.

Stamp. Voila, here is the outcome! Neat, isn't it?!?

Today I used Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive markers on Serene Silhouettes stamp set. The paper is Elegant Eggplant and white. It's very simple and clean looking and pretty easy to make .

Emboss Resist

I used Bloom With Hope and the emboss resist technique to make this card. What I love about it is that it's not perfect in any way and it's not supposed to be perfect in any way. The rugged look is good every now and then, you know! Once again,  I leaned on one of my favorite colors - Soft Suede - for paper and sponging. Enjoy!

Valentine Doily

It's Valentine's Day!.. well, almost! This is the same technique I used in my Bermuda Doily post but using Floral Framelits and the Daydream Medallions.

 Enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day!

Daydream Medallions Poppy

This is a product of Daydream Medallions and the coordinating Floral Framelits. I embossed the image before I cut it out. I love the simple and elegant look this card gives. Paper used is Early Espresso, Poppy (retired, boo hoo, but I love it), Wild Wasabi and Whisper White. Enjoy!

Lotus Blossom

This is one of the free sets of the Sale-a-Bration festivities and a perfect reason to try the three-step stamping. Since the stamps are photopolymer (completely clear), you don't have to use
stamp-a-magig tool which we have done in the past.

You start off with the smallest flower stamp and stamp it on a cardstock. Pick up the middle flower, ink it, then stamp it off on another piece of paper, and stamp on top of the first stamp. Do the same thing with the last flower stamp: ink it, stamp it off on another piece of paper and then directly stamp it on top of the middle stamp. You may have to play with it for a few minutes before you give it a go. It's fun creating an image with different shades in it.

Serene Silhouettes - Emboss Resist Technique

This time around I decided to go with Serene Silhouettes stamp set  and use a technique called emboss resist.

First, I cut out the edge of the card base with the Flower Framelits. I clear embossed the white cardstock with the flowers and used a framelit to cut it out. Now it's sponging time! As the ink will not stick to the embossed image, after a while of sponging you will see the flowers emerging on the paper. For the paper I used Wild Wasabi and Whisper White along with the Wild Wasabi ink for sponging.

February Card for Cause

Last month we started making Cards for Cause and it feels great! Whatever the cause is, it's a great feeling to make someone happy. Last month my card was rather feminine so I'm going to go with the more masculine theme this time around. This is my February Card for Cause!  You can find directions on how to make it HERE. Join the fun!

To make 10 cards you will need the following:

Wetlands stamp set
Old Olive ink (for the tall grass)
Early Espresso ink (for the greeting)
Early Espresso and Old Olive markers (for the goose stamp)
6 sheets of Early Espresso
3 sheets of Crumb cake
1 sheet of Old Olive
1 sheet of Whisper White
10 envelopes

This was my January Card for Cause!
