Calendar easel card

I wanted to make something for my girls at work and I wanted something practical and something that they can keep around and actually use it.

I love the easel card idea in itself because it just displays the card in such pretty manner. Here I added a mini calendar for 2016 along with the post-it pad. The note pad is what is holding the easel up.

Enjoy!

Napkin Holder

Such cute idea!! I saw it at Pootles.co.uk where Sam created an advent calendar with these cute and super easy to make boxes.

I loved the advent calendar idea but I thought I could use it at the Holiday table as a napkin holder.

Depending on how large your utensils are, you could slip them inside as well.

You simply use a small clothes pin to hold it together. After dinner, take off the pin and the whole thing folds flat for storage and off it goes to the attic for next year.

And here is how it's done! It's all about that fold! You will be amazed to see the simplicity of this project.

Diorama Holiday Card

I finally got around to making a diorama card. I tweaked the dimensions a little bit. My card is a little bit bigger than in the instructions.

I used two pieces of Old Navy, 9 1/2 by 4, scored at 2 and 7 1/2
and sheet of silver, 7 1/2 by 4 scored at 1 and 6 1/2.

Cozy Christmas is displayed on a 4 by 5 1/2 piece of white paper which is adhered to the back. I used Snow Writer for the snow and bedazzled it as bedazzling makes everything ... prettier.

And this is how we are looking from the top. The card folds flat but you will have to make a special envelope for it with your nifty envelope punch board.

Piles of presents!

Guess what I'm doing? Yes, I'm trying to find ways to get rid of my holiday paper scraps. This card falls into "super simple" category and it will most definitely help you get rid of all those tiny pieces of paper from past projects! It's all about color coordination, really. I used the greeting from Happy Scenes ....

.... and of course had to use the Bow Punch for the wonderful bow. Enjoy!

Season's Greetings

I'm still not done playing with the Snow Writer! Nope, not yet! I love Ornamental Pine (it's been since retired) and I have not used it for a while so it was time to take it out.

One of my pine cones got bedazzled with Dazzling Diamonds and the greeting is from Happy Scenes. This is yet another way to use my wonderful Tag Topper punch.

I'm trying to show you the graininess of the snow. I don't know if you can see that but it's really neat. Enjoy!

Christmas from outside

The idea behind this card was to recreate a wonderful feeling of the Holiday Season. You are walking outside, it just snowed and when you look thru the windows, you see wonderfully decorated Christmas Tree.

I used Snow Writer which I found in the paint section at Michael's. It dries hard and has a grainy consistency which is fantastic for recreating snow. This is the first time I used it and I think it's the finest snow that I have created thus far.

When I was growing up I remember seeing lit up stars in people's windows and from behind you were able to see the glow of the Holiday lights ( used Dazzling Detail for the lights). It just screamed Christmas.

You may recognize the greeting from Happy Scenes. I created the background by first stamping Hardwood in Chocolate Chip onto Crumble and then embossing it with the Woodgrain embossing folder. I finished it off by slightly sponging the edges and maybe an inch into the card with Chocolate Chip ink. Oh yes, in case you have not noticed, I used Lovely As A Tree, once again. Obsession, wouldn't you say??
