More butterflies

I used So Saffron, Old Olive and Calypso Coral paper along with Butterfly Basics stamp set to make this card. Yes, lately I've been making way more butterfly cards than I should but I can't stop myself.

For those who have been awaiting the arrival of the butterfly framelits, please don't be disappointed when you first put it thru your die cut machine and they won't come out just right. You will need to shim the sandwich. It will take you a few tries and several pieces of scrap paper but you will get it and the reward is well worth it. You can watch the video to see how it's done.

And here are some  Butterfly Basics cards I made in the past  and yes, you have probably seen them already. This is just a reminder what a great stamp set it is. Enjoy!

This old Oak Tree.....

The oak tree has been a part of my stamping endeavor for many, many years. It is a part of the Lovely As a Tree stamp set which has been around for over a decade. As you look thru these cards you can tell how the style has changed over time. One thing remained the same in every single card - marker stamping. I used it in every single one of these cards. Funny, how a card that I once was so proud of doesn't look all that hot right now.

Big Day shaker card

Shake, shake, shake!! It's been a while since I made a shaker card. The last one I remember was a crab on the beach and I used sand in the shaker. Today, I'm using Big Day stamp set with designer paper, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay.

Inside....

And that's how we are looking on the outside! Enjoy!

Wetlands sponging

Love, love, love this set and I'm so glad that it's not retiring! I used masking and sponging to create this project. The card base is Pool Party, sponging is done with Marina Mist, Pool Party and Soft Suede and stamping is done in Early Espresso and Old Olive. Enjoy!

Can you tell that I have played with it just a little bit over the past year??

A fond farewell.... Yeap, retiring stamp list is out!

The moment we have all been waiting for.... the unveiling of the ... retiring list!!

We can be happy for two reasons:

1. That some of our retiring favorites are going on sale for up to 50% off....

Told you there are reasons to celebrate no matter which way you look at it! These deals are good thru June 2 as supplies last.

Envelope punch board card

Just for a little change I used envelope punch board to create this card base with the designer paper. You basically work it the same way that you would while creating an envelope. Choose the desired card size from the convenient guide on top of the envelope punch board and start punching and scoring.

The band to hold the card shut was made with Pool Party and Basic Gray and the flower was created with the Floral Framelits and Calypso Coral.

I used the Big Day stamp set for the inside and popped the cake up just to add a little spark to it. I used blender pens to color it with Pool Party and Calypso Coral inks.

Going back to ... Lovely As a Tree

As long as I have been stamping, this stamp set has been around. It truly is amazing that it withstood the change of time and style. Today I used some sponging to make a simple, clean looking card.

I  stamped the image in black, masked it off and sponged it with Old Olive and Marina Mist. I added some score lines and here you go, a simple, clean card!
Enjoy!

Serene Silhouettes note cards

Sometimes it's just fun to make little note cards that require little time and preparation. Here are some 3 by 3 note cards I made using Serene Silhouettes. I used Melon  Mambo and Old Olive markers for the note card to the left and Old Olive ink to the one the other one. You can easily bundle these up for gifts for friends and family. You know that once they will receive one bundle from you they will be calling for more soon. Enjoy!

Daydream Medallions Birthday

 Ingredients:

Daydream Medallions Stamp set
Floral Framelits
Cherry Cobbler cardstock
Whisper White cardstock
Old Olive card stock

Just another fun card with the Floral Framelits. I love products that give you endless source of ideas. I embossed the small flower with Daydream Medallions stamp set and punched out the greeting with  1 3/8 circle punch. Before Cherry Cobbler was around my favorite color combo was Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. I must say that Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive are my favorites right now.

Bokeh technique

I am always up for trying a new technique so when I came across watercolor Bokeh Background I knew that I would have to go for it. I know that I still have ways to go to perfect it but this was my first attempt. I used Old Olive, Artichoke and Daffodil Delight for the ink. The card base is Old Olive and I used watercolor paper for the background. Trust me, I feel guilty using this stamp set right now knowing that there are so many of you that are patiently awaiting the arrival of the Butterfly Basics bundles which we can't order right now. On the bright side, you can keep all of my butterfly cards in a folder so when the stamps will arrive, and they will, you will be able to jump right on it.

It's pretty even without the butterfly......

Open Sea Flap card

The Open Sea stamp set is just screaming masculine cards and since I don't make very many of them I decided to play with it today.  I used Soft Suede and Very Vanilla for paper, Soft Suede for ink and a 2 inch circle punch for some punching fun.  If I did it again I would dry emboss the Soft Suede base just to add some more texture. Enjoy!!

... And this is the side view....

.... And this is the inside. I used the 2 inch circle which I punched out  for masking....
