I LOVE home made crafts. Love, love, love them! To create these trees I used Merry Moments DSP paper which I cut into strips, curled them with the bone folder and attached with a pin to a foam cone. That's it in a nut shell. To make it I followed the you tube video which you can find HERE. Just so that you know, you do want to use designer paper for this project or any other thinner paper. Regular cardstock is not going to work so well.
