BBQ wings

Unleash the grilling monster in you!!! The weather is perfect to heat up your grill so let's do it! This is the only way that I make my wings because they are finger-licking, if you know what I mean. This recipe is for 7 to 8 lb of chicken wings. It sounds like a lot but it's only two bags of the frozen wings. I usually just make 4 lb and cut the recipe in half. Yes, and we do finish the 4 pounds of that delicious goodness in one sitting.

Ingredients

Sauce
2 cups Frank's Red Hot Sauce
2 cups brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
1 stick butter

Seasoning
2 Tbsp pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh garlic
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup paprika
1/2 cup Italian seasoning

Make sure that your wings are defrosted. Mix all the seasonings and add them to the chicken wings. Coat them well. I sometimes do that the night before so the wings get a chance to absorb some of the flavor from the spices but you can do it right before you throw them on the grill. Heat up your grill. Place your wings on the grill on LOW heat. You want to get all the fat out of the wings so low and slow is the trick, don't close your grill and turn them every 10 minutes or so.  This should take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour depending on your grill. Meanwhile, take all the sauce ingredients and heat them up in a pot to make sure that they incorporate and the butter melts. After you notice that the wings are pretty much done and most of the fat it gone, drench them in the sauce and keep on grilling for another 10 minutes turning them every few minutes. At this point don't leave your grill  unattended as the sugar in the sauce will burn easily and your wings can turn into a small disaster to say the least. Now throw them on the plate and serve with the rest of the sauce. Enjoy!
