Cards for Cause

As you all know I make tons of cards throughout the year. I  give them out to family and friends and I bundle them up for holiday gifts at the end of the year. The other day while browsing thru splitcoaststampers.com I came across Cards for Cause. Each month splitcoast chooses an organization to donate cards to and cardmakers just like you and I make cards and send them to those places who in turn send them out to the recipients. There are few organizations that collect cards throughout the entire year. That's how I came across Card Care Connection. This non profit organization collects and sends out  cards to cancer patients and have been doing that since 2011. In the past 3 years they have collected 15,000 cards and put 15,000 smiles on faces of cancer patients.

So I started to think.... yeap, I know, that's a scary part... when I start to think.... well, anyways, I decided and it would make me so happy if I could put smile on people's faces and let them know that there are people out there that are rooting for them and hope that they get better. Having said that, I decided to commit to making 5-10 cards per month and send them out in bundles every couple of months to Card Care Connection. And then I started thinking some more ... again... that it would be even more amazing if you would like to join on it as well. Beginning of each month I will display the card that I will be making and you could either copy it or make a card of your own. There are general card guidelines that we need to follow but most of them are very obvious and you can read more about them on their website. Just imagine all the people that we can make happy at the rough time of their lives. Think about it and let me know if you would like to part-take in that. This is the card that you are familiar with and this is going to be my January Card for Cause.
